Had a problem on my Windows Server 2012 (VMware Guests) Print Servers and it appeared this was caused by the VMware ThinPrint Port Monitor.
The Print Spooler Service always stopped seconds after it was started.
The Eventlog shows:
The Print Spooler service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 5 time(s).
